This feature will be included in a future version
of the software. I include the info here for use
in planning how we will use these satellites.
P feature letter and PF command.
The PF command can be used without arguments to request a forwarding
list, or with arguments to send a forwarding list.
The main use for this command is to allow a satellite bbs to obtain
forwarding information from a ground station.
Call the ground station G and the satellite S.
Case 1: G connects to S.
S sends SID and prompt.
G sends SID and prompt.
At this point, G knows it is connected to S and has seen the SID with
the P feature letter. S knows it is connected to G and has also seen
the P feature letter.
G sends messages to S, driven by the usual forward file entries.
Time to reverse forward.
G sends PF d1 d2 d3 ... dn to S.
S responds with a prompt.
G continues with the normal reverse forwarding sequence ("F>" prompt).
S sends all messages with designators d1 d2 d3 ... dn
Case 2: S connects to G.
G sends SID and prompt.
S sends SID and prompt.
At this point, G knows it is connected to S and has seen the SID with
the P feature letter. S knows it is connected to G and has also seen
the P feature letter.
S sends the PF command with no arguments to G.
G sends PF d1 d2 d3 ... dn to S.
S sends messages to G, driven by the list of designators it received from G.
Time to reverse forward.
S continues with the normal reverse forwarding sequence ("F>" prompt).
S sends messages to G, driven by the usual forward file entries.
